We produce a single-vineyard Estate Pinot Noir from Rancho Estrella in Napa County. The close proximity to Carneros and the San Pablo Bay brings cooler temperatures and heavier fog, both of which promote a wine with lower alcohol and high acidity. 

This wine is a beautiful expression of an imperfect place with notes of cranberry, blackberry, dill, vanilla, cinnamon, clove, dried porcinis, plum blossom and delicate white flowers.

The 2015 vintage was harvested in early September. We barely picked a ton of fruit that year. At our custom crush facility in Sonoma, we skin-fermented the fruit with 30% whole cluster for 7-11 days. The grapes were pressed, then transferred to barrel to finish malolactic fermentation and age gracefully for two years.
